I am a local fully qualified beauty therapist, offering Microneedling in Hertfordshire, Essex and North London. I have a private treatment room in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, or I am mobile and can come to your home (subject to safety checks).
Microneedling is a great treatment on the face for acne scarring, collagen stimulation, pigmentation, mild rosacea, red spider veins and wrinkles. On the body is it highly effective on stretch marks and can improve the appearance of cellulite.
Having qualified as a internationally recognised Level 4 VTCT Laser & IPL therapist, together with additional training for microneedling and plasma pen, I have performed many treatments on happy clients over the last 5 years.
Initially working in a salon in Radlett in Hertfordshire, I now run my own business from a private treatment room in Hertfordshire, or mobile services are available if it is not convenient to leave home (e.g. if you have children!).
I trained for Microneedling with Emma Coates Aesthetic Training and am fully insured.
Microneedling sessions are available as a standard alone treatment, or in combination with Radiofrequency (RF) or LED mask treatment (colour chosen according to your concern). All treatments include a pre-cleanse and tone. Long term treatment plans also available using a combination of all – please get in touch for custom pricing, or see the pricing table below for standard set treatments.
How does microneedling work?
Essentially microneedling (using a dermapen or a dermaroller) is a procedure that uses fine needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled skin injury in order to rejuvenate skin. It creates channels deep in to the dermis to then insert highly concentrated vitamins, including hyaluronic acid for skin plumping. These channels cause the skin to “wake up” and start repairing itself, as skin gets lazy as we get older! As the skin is healing, it uses the serums and regenerates cells, produces collagen, as well as strengthening capillaries (removes broken veing) and breaking down pigmentation. It is great for improving the appearance of scars, either from acne, surgery or stretch marks. It tightens loose skin, improves overall skin tone and shrinks pores. It is even proven to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Different creams or serums are used depending on the area being treated and the problem being treated.
Microneedling isn’t even a new concept – it has been around for more than 20 years but new technology has made it more effective. Electronic, carefully controlled needling pens can adjust the dept size, speed and accuracy. Creating accurate depth channels in the skin can place vitamins exactly where it will be best used and absorbed.

Below are some common questions that are frequently asked about microneedling.
Can everyone have microneedling?
No. You can’t have microneedling done if you are pregnant, or if you have any active infections, lesions, or any known wound healing problems. If you have active acne, or tender acne cysts, you can not microneedle over these areas. It will irritate the area, make them more inflamed and potentially spread bacteria. Wait until your skin is more clear before haveing this treatment done. If you can localised spots, it is possible to work around them.
How many sessions do I need?
A minimum of 3 sessions are recommended at no more than 1 month between sessions for the best results. You can get a nice glow after x1 sessions however, but at least 3 is optimal.
Can I go back to work afterwards?
Your face may be a little bit red for a short while afterwards. You can go back to work after the procedure if you’re comfortable. You want to avoid clogging the skin with makeup after treatment. Aloe gel can help soothe the skin and take down any redness quicker.
What aftercare advice is there?
You need to protect your skin from the sun afterwards. Sunscreen will be applied before you leave the premises but you must continue to wear this – this is very important! Suncreen should contain Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide to avoid any skin clogging and potential spots /acne outbreaks. Suncream is available to buy.
